Hey, everybody, it's snowing!
The short version of this goes "it's winter and it's snowing a wee bit".
I thought I'd better tell you, just in case you were wondering what that white stuff falling from the sky was.
After all, it's Winter, high up in the Northern hemisphere, on a latitude not far off that in Siberia, so I thought you might be confused.
Luckily, BBC News 24 spent 23 hours yesterday telling us it was going to snow, with lots of reporters dotted around the countryside, dressed in parkas, droning on and on about how it was going to snow. For the easily confused, they liberally sprinkled this with pictures of what the snow would look like, when it started snowing.
Today, you could always follow the Guardians liberal coverage of snow, as they busily update Google Maps with pictures of snow. One of their reporters even bravely filmed the snow outside his window.
The Guardian's picture desk has sent out this plea, as they seem to be running out of pictures of snow:
"If you would like to submit your pictures, email pictures@guardian.co.uk with the picture attached along with your name, age and location. Please also include details about where the picture was taken and who is appearing in the picture so that we can add captions to the images.
Don't forget their Q&A on "why the weather has caused so much disprution" (sic).
Tragically, the weather has forced Media Workers Against the War to cancel a public meeting on how the media has failed the public over Gaza. So that's six less people on the streets.
My favourite bit of snow related news, however, was that the London Ambulance Service will only respond to "life-threatening calls" today. So, if you need an ambulance in London, remember that threats of GBH to their staff will not suffice. It's at least manslaughter before they'll talk to you.

That's that global warming again for you...
Don't believe a word of it. These bloody climate changers are just a bunch of weeded out hippy liberals looking for something to hang their half-baked "proof, we don't need no stinking proof" conspiracy theories on. Gits.
Oh, you got proper snow! We just got a couple of flakes before it kind of fizzled out.
I've tagged you for a meme on my blog. Good luck, Jim!
What a bloody carry on i tell thee! Snow! Snow! Don't get me bloody started!
